That duckling also paid me a visit, with his mum and siblings, so I fed them some of the bread that vole had ruined for me, after getting every packed up, which just left dropping the tent, I wondered up to the lockers to change into my nice warm bike gear - oh heaven.
Upon return I wen to finish packing the very closed back pack, only to be made to jump by that vole, who, and I have no idea how, must have pushed the zip open enough to get it, it was only when I unzipped it did he jump out and scarper, obviously I taught him a bad habit. And so it was time to leave Milarrochy, Sporadic showers and wet and dry parts of the road made an interesting trip, I had a little stop off at a point of interest that my son had sent me, they had some really nice coffee and cake. The lady in the cafe was really interested in my trip, and she said "oh that gear must be so heavy like carrying a body" to which I replied, "I wouldn't know, I've never had to move a body in the dead of the night before!!!" The conversation took a drive after that, and it was funny. It did make some people look up from their coffee's - hehehe.
The closer I got to Ben Nevis the warmer it became, and the roads and scenery started to make the miserable conditions I have had to bear just that little more tolerable.
I checked in at Ben Nevis Camping and Caravanning park, and whilst chatting with a lady in reception, she said, "didn't you change my old neighbours boiler??", as it turns out I did in Nov 2021, how small a world is that, and she has an amazing memory.
The campsites nice and I had dinner at the sites pub/restaurant, I particularly didn't want to cook and as I was planning a stole up Ben Nevis the next day, I opted for a proper meal.
