my gear had partially dried out and I decided about 11:30am to venture out. One of the things I didn't check the day before was my fuel status, I did top off the tank on my way to Inverness the day before, but due to the rain, I had forgotten to check if I needed any and it wasn't until I was almost at the campsite that I realised I was on 1 bar of 5 - eek. The closets petrol station was across the Loch, now I know we've been getting wet a lot recently, but there was no way was I going to ride through that ;-)

I was currently caught between 2 petrol stations, one back at Inverness 20 miles away, and another 17 miles away... I decided to run back to Inverness, my theory being that if I did run out that at least I might be able to thumb a lift. Fortunately I made it to Asda and their petrol was at £1.39 a litre Yay.

I did some shopping for Pasta sachets, and more coffee, and then decided to go into the Starbucks there, not the one I stopped at yesterday. The power pack went back on charge and I sat inside with a cheese and ham toastie and a very large strong vanilla latte. I pulled the video's for the day before to edit one where that muppet nearly hit me and another biker.

Upon leaving I noticed that my right thumb on my Halvardsson glove had a hole in it, and feeling a little pissed at having to buy a new pair, I looked up motorcycle clothing in Inverness, I found one on the edge of Loch Ness and decided to go there, £100 later and a cheeky, ignition squirt of oil as I was having trouble with the key and ignition again, I set off. As I was 12 miles from Urquhart Castle I decided that may salvage the day, I did have another plan, but it was getting on.

Thankfully the castle entrance was free as I still have my English Heritage membership. The castle is in ruins, but there was plenty to see, and was nice. It was sunny by this time, and I had left the Pack Safe in the tent, so that meant I had to carry around my jacket.

So being halfway round from the campsite, I decided to take a run around the opposite way to what I had already done, the roads was drying out and there was some twists to be had, and oh boy did we have them.

If your ever on a bike in Scotland, I would recommend taking an hour or 2 and ride completely around Loch Ness, The road to Fort Augustus from Inverness is amazing, and doable at national speed limit, then instead of following the A roads back to Inverness, take the B road back, or towards the club camping site. This was fantastic, I doubt my camera has done this justice.

It wasn't until I got back that I found out I had lost one of my SD cards, so that's seriously going to limit what I can record in a day, to the point that I might stop saving each days action camera, and just focus on the 360 camera. To be honest this has seriously pissed me off, and I blame Kriega for this. I have a R8 Waist Pack, the side pod is at home as I don't use it, as it's too small for my Anker power pack, so I use the front section and as it has many zip pockets its nice to keep things organised for things that I use in the Insta360 cameras, Spare SD Cards, charging leads for all devices, Anker power pack and Anker 65w 3 pin charger, so I can just plug in when I get the chance. However, this so called water proof case is useless, I've seen wetsuits drying than what this is, and this is supposed to nee waterproof. Anyway back to the SD card, as the Kriega bag was still drying out in the tent, I took spare camera batteries and the SD cards in my jacket which is more waterproof that this R8 waist pack, and at some point when I took out my phone I must have had an SD card caught on the case, and it's dropped out somewhere.

Back at the campsite I settled in and had dinner.
