Desperate for a coffee break, I decided to swing into and have a mooch about at Dunrobin Castle in Golspie. Another £14 entrance fee, but they did have a lot going on including a Falcon demonstration.

To day was the first time I used the pack safe, unfortunately it seems I have either left the padlock at home or it's got lost, which is annoying, however I did manage to leave my jacket on the "pack" then the PackSafe almost went over everything including the tent. Fortunately I Helmet lock we bought  years ago, so I fed the loop through that and locked my helmet to the paneer handle. I'm glad I left the jacket, that was one hell of a walk about in bike gear, not forgetting, but due to the nature of the weather I have left the thermals in the jacket and trousers.

Once I was back on the road, I had a scheduled stop at Starbucks in Inverness, where I managed to charge mostly everything, this was especially essential as I was booked in at Loch Ness Camping and Caravanning Club site for two nights without electric hook up.

As I was leaving Starbucks the rain came again!!!

The site is about half way along Loch Ness, and again having to navigate bad tarmac on single track road with passing places, in the wet.

Upon arriving the campsite shop was almost closed, and the staff kindly brought my shopping up to me, whilst I was getting the tent setup, basic essentials, milk bread, and this time some Scottish marmalade.

After setting up in the rain... again!!! The sun came out and the rain stopped. I managed a walk down to the Loch and took some pics.

One of my neighbours had a 2 year old, Sable long haired German Shepherd, who I said hello to, he sat, when I asked, he laid down and we shook hands, and I could tell he really wanted to play and I swear he knew I was up for that too. but his owners kept a tight lead on him. After the crappy start, this was a nice welcomed experience, and to be honest made my day.

It was a very cold damp night, and considering I was soaked when I arrived, I still couldn't get warmed up.
