As it was raining faily heavy since 7pm last night I decided that I would have a break from riding out and seeing stuff, I used the laundry room and got all my washing done. Even though the forecast was to stop raining mid afternoon, today does provide me with a chance to catch up with the blog posts and go through some of the videos. I'm lucky that the Insta360 Action camera saves 2 versions of the same video, one is at what ever high resolution you set and the other seems to be a 720p version, so deleting out the larger ones makes sense, however if you want to get a screenshot then the image will be a bit small. I can import these into my iPhone to edit, but that would give me the same headache and a bit more transferring them to the Mac after. Which is something I have not tried yet.
As I'm fairly poor (boohoo) I can't afford to by FinalCutPro, I use OpenShot video editor it's not Final Cut Pro but it's great as it's free, and donate if you do use it, as people that create affordable / free products help us all out. Anyway for me it does what it needs to do and means that I can edit some of the videos.
The Inverewe Caravan and Camping Club site, is situated right on the NC500 route, in Poolewe, and I'm sort of liking the campsites in a mobile phone black spot ;-) However this is providing some issues with connectivity, the wifi here is pretty bad, I've seen snails move faster that the up speed that this place has, however it is a nice site to unwind. About 6 miles down the road is a Morrisons Daily store, as the local shop here isn't open on a Sunday. There are a few little cafe's but again, not Sunday opening and the only pub, which happens to also be the only place for food, didn't serve me last night as they was not seating anyone due to a function, I wish The Poolewe Hotel had told the campsite that, so it would have saved me a walk, so tonight I'm not eating their either and thus saving me £25+ for a pie & mash, and a drink or two. But that's their loss, and if their webmaster has setup their site properly, that can see where the back links come from, in this case, this blog and I give them a 0 out of 10, especially as the locals all stared when I walked in, and no I wasn't in a dress, I was in jeans, t-shirt and fleece, it sort of reminded me of the pub on the moors in American Werewolf in London.
So as I've been typing out this blog post a couple, both on bikes turned up and erected a lone Rider tent. I know I have had issues getting mine rolled up properly on my own in the wind, but I can honestly say, given the amount of room I have in my Redverz Acatama expedition tent compared to the size of the Lone Rider, I am still happy with the Redverz tent. that's not to say the Lone Rider isn't a good motorcycle tent.
